This Original Mixed Media Artwork contains 58 Shotglasses that tell 1 story. The 3d printed shotglasses are hand wrapped with red and blue embroidery thread to create the American flag using 2 display cases. When split, the second half is symbolic of Trinidadian roots, the homeplace of artist, Nneka Jones. With one of the shot glass slots containing a 3D printed head and the other containing a tree-like structure, this symbolizes the physical displacement but deep rooted connection between home and home away from home. The series entitled "One of these things is not like the other" explores topics of Identity and belonging; finding oneself and navigating a geographical shift.
