This artwork is an original, 1 of 1 mixed media artwork created by Nneka Jones inspired by her new series, Sweet Decay Collection. This piece captures the ghostly image of a woman with overlays of shapes and colors that align to reveal an embedded skeletal form and skull. At first glance, the composition can appear as one image but upon further investigation, the image appears to reveal the 2 figures that exist simultaneously.
 
The artwork highlights themes of transformation, becoming and a sense of identity by stripping away at the solid foundation, skin, muscle and human form to reveal what truly exists on a deeper level.
 
This work was first exhibited in Las Vegas during Complexcon 2025.
