Modern thread-scultpture installation inspired by Russian Dolls. This installation piece contains 7 individual pieces, each hand wrapped with high quality embroidery thread in a varitey of colors.
"Arbitrary Sisters" was exhibited in London at the 2023 Knitting & Stitching Show for Nneka Jones' first Solo show in the UK. These fiber sculptures are symbolic of the different sizes, colors and shapes that take form in womanhood through multiple ethnicities, races and more.
Please note the artwork does not come with the wooden pedestal. This is a set and is not sold separately.
